Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC) can be composed of anywhere from 34-80% protein. We elected to go with the highest quality possible, WPC-80 for short. This not only gives you the most high-grade protein for your buck, but unlike whey protein isolate, WPC-80 actually contains intact growth factors, allowing you to maximize lean muscle growth. You’re short-changing yourself by using any other source of whey protein, period. “This is one of my favourite “chocolate” flavours. It is NOT a pure chocolate. It is not a rich or deep chocolate. It does not taste like a Dairy Queen chocolate shake (there are powders that do). But it is mostly chocolate in flavour and it is excellent. They really were able to add a rich frosting type flavour too it. Excellent consistency, pretty low calorie, fair price.”

“I tried the Snickerdoodle flavour, and it really is delicious. It is a bit too sweet for me, so I use either plain water or, if using a nut milk, I use 50/50 milk and water. I love how the carbs are 1g per serving. However, it is quite pricey at $33 for not even 2 lbs, so I will probably stick with ON for that reason. If PE Science doesn’t reduce their price point, I can’t see them ever running with the big boys.”

Our Verdict
PE Science has created a high protein, low carbohydrate powder that delivers on most fronts. Great flavours (if one is too sweet you can simply alter the liquid you mix it with) and some good reviews back up their reputation, but it’s not the cheapest protein powder on the market. Our advice? It’s good, but you may be better off with something a little cheaper.
